FEATURES

COMPOSITION:

100% Akadama

Fine granulometry pH: 6.5 – 6.9

Cation exchange: 20-25 meq/100g

Akadama, from the Japanese "red ball soil," is a volcanic clay of Japanese origin, completely free of bacteria and parasites, characterized by a neutral pH, and rich in minerals due to its volcanic nature. The grains undergo several heating processes that make them harder and more resistant over time, preventing crumbling. It is undoubtedly the most appreciated natural inert material in bonsai cultivation.

HOW TO USE:

Bonsai can be grown in a soil composed solely of Akadama, because it provides optimal drainage, more oxygenation to the substrate, and by not retaining much water, it allows for greater root development, preventing the formation of fungi that cause root rot. It can also be mixed with other soils to create optimal growing substrates for plants.
